KYB Kashima Shock Body – Yamaha YZ450F 2025

Genuine KYB Factory Kit shock body (KYB part 160090008401) for the KYB rear shock fitted to the Yamaha YZ450F. The 50 mm aluminium body is finished with Kashima coating, a hard anodised layer impregnated with molybdenum disulphide. This gives a harder, slicker bore surface that reduces friction against the piston band, for more consistent damping and less wear over time. Because Kashima is an anodising process, the gold colour can vary slightly from one body to the next. This is the shock body used on the KYB Factory Kit shock and replaces the standard body. Price is for one shock body; the product image may show more than one. Fitting requires a full shock rebuild and nitrogen charge and should be carried out by a suspension technician.
